Kvas Fine Beverage Co. originated in 2018 by husband and wife Co-Founders Zac and Amy Kvas. Having a last name that means "yeast," it is only suitable that both enjoyed working with alcohol.
Together their experience ranged from viticulture to hospitality management to bartending, but creating something that was truly their own was the goal.
With the increase in cocktail culture and an absence of premium cocktail syrups in Canada, Kvas set out to align their values of local agriculture, flavour and knowledge with the release of the Kvas brand. Their initial syrup release sold out in 48 hours and soon the side hustle became a lifestyle.
Seven years in, you can now find Kvas cocktail syrups across Canada, including retailers, distilleries, wineries, along with restaurant bar menus and cafes.
AMY KVAS

Owner, operator, and head of logistics, Amy uses her multi-tasking management skills to keep the Kvas train moving. A lover of good design, good food and drink (without the pretentiousness), she’s happiest living a balanced life of adventure and creation.
ZAC KVAS
Co-Founder/Owner/Flavour Master
The epitome of good vibes, Zac is your friendly bartender, maple farmer, first responder, with a side of entrepreneurship hustles (emphasis on the plural). Good at many things, Zac is happiest when he can bring to light his energy and charm, share his knowledge and create tinctures and mixtures that spark his imagination.
LIFE TODAY
Since the origins of Kvas, Zac and Amy welcomed two baby boys into their family (Henry & Crew), 1 x 150 pound Newfoundland and purchased a 30 acre maple farm (Hen & Finch Maple Co.), where the family currently lives inside the sugar shack, producing Ontario Grade A pure maple syrup, along with locally inspired cocktail syrups. The hope is to spread the sweetness for many years to come.
